GiT SeAsOn 2! ---- 10 Teams ---- 18 Weeks!

Welcome to Global Interleague Trophy Season 2!

First off lets congratulate the admin's once more on a job well done from season 1. Joe with your shrewd and crude humor along with Petey's sexy voice (so I hear) I'm sure season 2 will not disappoint! Kudos to Chris/Tami for maintaining the general sexy appeal of GIT... maybe one day our season 2 banner will have a real picture up there... totally kidding! Alright, last but not least welcome my guy Rich to the board of trustees. He will surely do a phenomenal job with all that season 2 will have to offer.

Now to introduce two additional teams to GIT season 2 could be as simple as listing names...but lets make it a bit more interesting. Early on in GIT season 1, there were comments and criticism about GIT (pretty much every new interleague) on how "easy" or "low class" it was compared to other interleagues. Lets just get this straight right now. As we see an addition of one of the best leagues on the net who currently holds a top spot in MLP itself...in that of Pool Fiction I'm sure the criticism will simmer down to a small chirp. Alongside Poolfiction (PFN) will be another team to compete for the championship in that of International Cue Addiction (ICA). Trey, a phenomenal player, coach, and admin... has found a way to use his sexy charisma in order to sway top players from season 1 to his newly founded league. With two of the top players from last season as well as a few more top additions... both ICA and PFN could be considered maybe the toughest new additions to an interleague in sometime.

Oh yes and the rankings...(Theme word: Sexy)

1. International Cue Addiction (ICA)
-Key players: Croz, Joe, Sid, Craig, Nick
-Sexiest player: Shannon

Trey has managed to group together a squad. With Craig, Nick, Sid, Joe, and Croz being a consistent group of players they will be tough to beat. Not to mention the rest of the team in the winner of ypools sexy man award of 2009 (Shannon), Nish, and Trey himself... Look out. This team should win week in and week out but will have to look out for the powerhouse in newcomer PFN. We shall see how week 5 and 14 play out for the PFN/ICA matchup this season. Should be a delight.

2. Pool Fiction (PFN)
-Key players: Miz, Lewis, Brent, Andy
-Sexiest player: Kerry

Pool Fiction is without a doubt as good as ICA. They too will show that they do not just join any interleague unless they feel it is worth playing. Kerry, the sexiest captain alive, will prove to bring each week a squad that is deadly. If Miz plays just as he is in MLP, no team will want their match vs PFN to reside in a game 5 decider. Best of luck to you guys on your first season of Global Interleague Trophy.

3. Magic Pool (MP)
-Key players: Jordy, Anil, Possibly Timm
-Sexiest player: Chris

Season one was an up and down season for MP. They started out hot, trailed off near the end to snag a 4th seed in the 4 team playoff, but managed to take it to a game 7 bank 8 decider against SS in the championship. This team will be tough to beat, especially with a rumored addition of Timm. Jordy will most likely anchor the leadoff spot and with Anil and Chris to follow, teams will have a tough time defeating MP.

4. Freedom (FR)
-Key players: Petey, Ashie
-Sexiest players: Ebbie and Hope when playing each other.

Petey and the gang from season one will lay a pounding to the weaker teams but will be outplayed by the better teams. Losing Craig to ICA will play out to be tough shoes to fill but I believe with the sexiness of Ebbie and Hope lingering, the gentlemen just might step it up in order to impress. Got to love how the human genitalia can impact such a small part of life. I put you here at 4th Petey, but if you and Corey do not produce day in and day out... Freedom might fall even a few more spots out of a first place finish from a season ago.

5. Straight Shots (SS)
-Key players: Jon, Pascal, Mike, Kev
-Sexiest player: Pita Pizza

Congratulations to Straight Shots on season 1 champs. Season 2 however will be a different story. SS will have to revamp with their newcomers in Mike and Matt to adhere to the losses of key players in Nish, Shannon, and season 1 MVP Nick. Along with Pascal and Kev, Straight Shots should definately be tough all season long. If they can upset PFN and ICA at least once they should easily swing into the top 5 come playoff time. Look for SS to surprise the critics and accomplish yet another deep run in the playoffs. This should be an interesting season for them. Best of luck to you guys.

6. Sexy Poolerz (SP)
-Key players: Pete, Shaggy, Aaron
-Sexiest player: Ketan

As far as season one went for SP, an unlucky tie rule put them out of the playoff race by a few record wins. This season Sexy Poolerz will, in my opinion, make the 8 team playoff. Will they go deep into the playoffs is the question. As far as I'm concerned if Pete can get his top guys, Shaggy and Ketan, to play most of the weeks then SP will definitely compete for a top 6 spot.

7. Extreme Pool Competitors (EPC)
-Key players: Gus, Jason, Ant
-Ugliest player: Jack (only joshing)

Ok Ok now Jack before you get your jollies in a bundle, if you can keep hold of your players I can see you definitely doing better than 7th. If Andy leaves for PFN, Timm leaves for MP, if something crazy like Ant ventures off to Brit Pool to reside with the magically delicious Pomster... then well lets just say your tighty whitey's would be in a pretty tight bundle. Otherwse, showing up with your team, eligible, will be your best bet at proving this prediction wrong. To be honest I could see you getting top 4... Show me that you are the admin/captain/player that you claim to be and we can be friends. Good luck to you guys this season.

8. Ultimate Outlaws (UO)
-Key players: Dwayne, Brandon
-Sexiest player: Sabre Girl

This team could either do really bad or really good. If Dwayne and Brandon hold their own week in and week out in this long 18 week season... they could be a surprise to most. If not, then they will end up right around the 8 spot with a few upsets and losses to the powerhouses of PFN, ICA, and MP.

9. Brit Pool (BP)
-Key players: Pommy, Drew
-Sexiest player: Pommy

Alright now this 9 seed is by no means my prediction. They lost a key captain in Trey but retained another key captain in Pommy. If Pom can, on his second go at it, convert an abysmal team into a prosperous one then they too (along with EPC) could contend with the middle ranks this season. With the players Pom has in smooth_kid, Timm, and Jeremy... they could upset teams. Look out for BP this season as they won't be an easy win.

10. MIB aka Men in Black aka Money in the Bank (MIB)
-Key players: There entire 30 man roster
-Sexiest player: Rich aka $$CashMoney$$

Probably the sexiest 30 player roster I've ever seen. Each week Rich seems to have 5 new players playing. With an 18 week season...holy crap. We could see 50+ players if he's got enough that are willing to play. I sure am rootin for this politically correct MIB squad. If it hadn't been for pretty much half of season 1 of 2-3 losses, MIB could have competed last season for a playoff spot. This season I don't see much improvement however but they will win a few more then last season... compliments of the longer season! Good luck to you ladies and gents, surprise me on a playoff run will ya?

In essence, this 18 week course of powerhouses and surprise teams should be a dandy. With the new addition of the "Psychic 8" wildcard game hopefully some more strategy will come into play and more upsets will occur.
