GiT SeAsOn 2! ---- 10 Teams ---- 18 Weeks!
Welcome to Global Interleague Trophy Season 2!
First off lets congratulate the admin's once more on a job well done from season 1. Joe with your shrewd and crude humor along with Petey's sexy voice (so I hear) I'm sure season 2 will not disappoint! Kudos to Chris/Tami for maintaining the general sexy appeal of GIT... maybe one day our season 2 banner will have a real picture up there... totally kidding! Alright, last but not least welcome my guy Rich to the board of trustees. He will surely do a phenomenal job with all that season 2 will have to offer.
Now to introduce two additional teams to GIT season 2 could be as simple as listing names...but lets make it a bit more interesting. Early on in GIT season 1, there were comments and criticism about GIT (pretty much every new interleague) on how "easy" or "low class" it was compared to other interleagues. Lets just get this straight right now. As we see an addition of one of the best leagues on the net who currently holds a top spot in MLP itself...in that of Pool Fiction I'm sure the criticism will simmer down to a small chirp. Alongside Poolfiction (PFN) will be another team to compete for the championship in that of International Cue Addiction (ICA). Trey, a phenomenal player, coach, and admin... has found a way to use his sexy charisma in order to sway top players from season 1 to his newly founded league. With two of the top players from last season as well as a few more top additions... both ICA and PFN could be considered maybe the toughest new additions to an interleague in sometime.
Oh yes and the rankings...(Theme word: Sexy)
1. International Cue Addiction (ICA)
-Key players: Croz, Joe, Sid, Craig, Nick
-Sexiest player: Shannon
Trey has managed to group together a squad. With Craig, Nick, Sid, Joe, and Croz being a consistent group of players they will be tough to beat. Not to mention the rest of the team in the winner of ypools sexy man award of 2009 (Shannon), Nish, and Trey himself... Look out. This team should win week in and week out but will have to look out for the powerhouse in newcomer PFN. We shall see how week 5 and 14 play out for the PFN/ICA matchup this season. Should be a delight.
2. Pool Fiction (PFN)
-Key players: Miz, Lewis, Brent, Andy
-Sexiest player: Kerry
Pool Fiction is without a doubt as good as ICA. They too will show that they do not just join any interleague unless they feel it is worth playing. Kerry, the sexiest captain alive, will prove to bring each week a squad that is deadly. If Miz plays just as he is in MLP, no team will want their match vs PFN to reside in a game 5 decider. Best of luck to you guys on your first season of Global Interleague Trophy.
3. Magic Pool (MP)
-Key players: Jordy, Anil, Possibly Timm
-Sexiest player: Chris
Season one was an up and down season for MP. They started out hot, trailed off near the end to snag a 4th seed in the 4 team playoff, but managed to take it to a game 7 bank 8 decider against SS in the championship. This team will be tough to beat, especially with a rumored addition of Timm. Jordy will most likely anchor the leadoff spot and with Anil and Chris to follow, teams will have a tough time defeating MP.
4. Freedom (FR)
-Key players: Petey, Ashie
-Sexiest players: Ebbie and Hope when playing each other.
Petey and the gang from season one will lay a pounding to the weaker teams but will be outplayed by the better teams. Losing Craig to ICA will play out to be tough shoes to fill but I believe with the sexiness of Ebbie and Hope lingering, the gentlemen just might step it up in order to impress. Got to love how the human genitalia can impact such a small part of life. I put you here at 4th Petey, but if you and Corey do not produce day in and day out... Freedom might fall even a few more spots out of a first place finish from a season ago.
5. Straight Shots (SS)
-Key players: Jon, Pascal, Mike, Kev
-Sexiest player: Pita Pizza
Congratulations to Straight Shots on season 1 champs. Season 2 however will be a different story. SS will have to revamp with their newcomers in Mike and Matt to adhere to the losses of key players in Nish, Shannon, and season 1 MVP Nick. Along with Pascal and Kev, Straight Shots should definately be tough all season long. If they can upset PFN and ICA at least once they should easily swing into the top 5 come playoff time. Look for SS to surprise the critics and accomplish yet another deep run in the playoffs. This should be an interesting season for them. Best of luck to you guys.
6. Sexy Poolerz (SP)
-Key players: Pete, Shaggy, Aaron
-Sexiest player: Ketan
As far as season one went for SP, an unlucky tie rule put them out of the playoff race by a few record wins. This season Sexy Poolerz will, in my opinion, make the 8 team playoff. Will they go deep into the playoffs is the question. As far as I'm concerned if Pete can get his top guys, Shaggy and Ketan, to play most of the weeks then SP will definitely compete for a top 6 spot.
7. Extreme Pool Competitors (EPC)
-Key players: Gus, Jason, Ant
-Ugliest player: Jack (only joshing)
Ok Ok now Jack before you get your jollies in a bundle, if you can keep hold of your players I can see you definitely doing better than 7th. If Andy leaves for PFN, Timm leaves for MP, if something crazy like Ant ventures off to Brit Pool to reside with the magically delicious Pomster... then well lets just say your tighty whitey's would be in a pretty tight bundle. Otherwse, showing up with your team, eligible, will be your best bet at proving this prediction wrong. To be honest I could see you getting top 4... Show me that you are the admin/captain/player that you claim to be and we can be friends. Good luck to you guys this season.
8. Ultimate Outlaws (UO)
-Key players: Dwayne, Brandon
-Sexiest player: Sabre Girl
This team could either do really bad or really good. If Dwayne and Brandon hold their own week in and week out in this long 18 week season... they could be a surprise to most. If not, then they will end up right around the 8 spot with a few upsets and losses to the powerhouses of PFN, ICA, and MP.
9. Brit Pool (BP)
-Key players: Pommy, Drew
-Sexiest player: Pommy
Alright now this 9 seed is by no means my prediction. They lost a key captain in Trey but retained another key captain in Pommy. If Pom can, on his second go at it, convert an abysmal team into a prosperous one then they too (along with EPC) could contend with the middle ranks this season. With the players Pom has in smooth_kid, Timm, and Jeremy... they could upset teams. Look out for BP this season as they won't be an easy win.
10. MIB aka Men in Black aka Money in the Bank (MIB)
-Key players: There entire 30 man roster
-Sexiest player: Rich aka $$CashMoney$$
Probably the sexiest 30 player roster I've ever seen. Each week Rich seems to have 5 new players playing. With an 18 week season...holy crap. We could see 50+ players if he's got enough that are willing to play. I sure am rootin for this politically correct MIB squad. If it hadn't been for pretty much half of season 1 of 2-3 losses, MIB could have competed last season for a playoff spot. This season I don't see much improvement however but they will win a few more then last season... compliments of the longer season! Good luck to you ladies and gents, surprise me on a playoff run will ya?
In essence, this 18 week course of powerhouses and surprise teams should be a dandy. With the new addition of the "Psychic 8" wildcard game hopefully some more strategy will come into play and more upsets will occur. Playoff Finals - SS (2) vs MP (4)
Playoff Finals are about going down to the wire, every match counts toward the end result, everyone is focused, everyone makes every effort and gives 150% in order to win for there team. This is what playoff finals is all about and this is what these two teams, Straight Shots and Magic Pool, showed up with today @ 2pm eastern in Sick Again. A surprising result of teams that ended up in the final as Straight Shots playoff hopes did not look pretty as they began the season with a disappointing slow start of 2-4. They soon started to show up as people started to think that their captain Nigel would take the season seriously. And he did. Coming back to take down an overall record of 9-5 to launch into 2nd place in Season 1. Magic Pool on the other hand was a steady team in the beginning and trailed off a bit near the end. Originally losing Steve aka n00b.ski11z could have hurt Magic Pools chances had they not picked up a star in Jordy aka xlx_skill_xlx who went 6-1 to end the regular season. Magic Pool, although trailing off near the end of the regular season finished in 4th.

As Mr. Predictor stated in his prediction SS was a streaking favorite while MP was the favorite on paper. With all the nerves experienced today, I do not think anyone could say for certain before the match was played who would prevail. In the end however, SS managed to pull away with a come from behind win from Nullified aka Shannon in a Bank 8 / Q fun fest to clinch the victory. Here is the Game by Game recap:

G-I-T Week 14 Roundup
Week 14 experienced a Sexy Pooler fight to the finish winning their match. In the end, however, it wasn't enough. As we saw EPC defeat BP 5-0 and clinch a spot in the playoffs (3rd). As we look on to the playoffs we will see round 1 matchups of Freedom (1) vs Magic Pool (4)and Straight-Shots (2) vs Extreme Pool Competitors (3). Lets take a look at how we got there:

Magic Pool vs Sexy Poolers Special Edition Recap!
So what it comes down to in the final week of play in GIT is an SP win of 5-0 to get in without help, or a win of 2 games or more then EPC and an EPC loss. Here is a game by game recap of MP vs SP:
MP vs SP --- Final Playoff Spot
Game 1:
MP_p00l_nutz vs SP_king.2068
King run breaks pots nothing, p00l takes stripes leaving King with solids and proceeds to safety. With a cluster of balls in the upper right, King has a decision to bangrun or to play it safe. King opts what looked to be like a bang run but pots 2 balls and is back to square one with the cluster of balls near top right pocket. Pots the purple to leave him with no remaining shot on the 3 remaining solids. He safeties. With the remaining half to play King literally has given p00l_nutz complete control over the game. He trys to bang out a few solid balls which intern gives p00l_nutz a relatively open and easy run. With King's red ball the only ball in the way, p00l attempts a few bangs at knocking it off right rail for a shot on his purple and succeeds. p00l_nutz easily runs pink, purp but instead of putting cue over by 8 he elects to shoot a long range shot from right on the right rail to an 8 that is slightly lower then his cueball into top left pocket. He drills it and gives MP a quick and easy 1-0 lead over SP. With this game 1 loss SP WILL need some help from EPC or a win vs MP to make the playoffs.

Game 2:
MP_xlx_skill_xlx vs SP_shaggyman
Down 1 game to none, shaggyman will have to step it up against one of Magic Pools (as well as GIT's) top players Jordy. Shaggy elects to runbreak and his break is a beauty. Not one ball touching another. Now can he run it? He pots blue stripe bottom left, pink in top right, green in bottom right with a bit of a bang to break up 8. On 5th run ball, he pots orange in top right with a difficult english and fails to have any straight in shot. While Jordy looks *on, Shaggy attempts a combo in mid table and drills it, but hangs cue in top middle pocket. His next shot, is a hanging cue and a yellow in top mid of right side of table. Looks to me like he will need to bank to avoid the "nipple" but what do I know? He banks hard and does not give up bih, but does give up cue and most likely the game. Lets see if Jordy can run 2 more balls then Shaggy has. With a wideopen table, Jordy pots 1 ball and MISSES! Lucky for Jordy, still no shot for his opponent. Shaggy is going to have to pull off something special here. Tries a double bank but pots one ofJordys balls and cue to give bih. Now with only a 4 ball open table run, can Jordy redeem himself, and he misses on 8!!! Mr_shaggy ties it up at 1-1 with an easy 2 ball runout.

Game 3:
MP_RiffRaff20 vs SP_freak.ofpool
With the match tied at 1 this will be the pivitol game that, in my opinion, will decide the match. Freak.ofpool breaks and pots a few stripes and a solid. Takes solids and proceeds to bang in a few more stripes along with her solid. Then decides to let Joe take his turn at a run by potting his ball in hopes of him not being able to run. With 3 balls left however, Joe sinks a shot and bangs out 2 balls for a slightly difficult 4 ball run to win it. He pots his remaining 2 balls and gets a little lucky on the leave on 8. Shoots it in top middle to quickly give MP a 2-1 lead.
Score: 2-1 MP
Game 4:
MP_aaaaaaaaanil vs SP_arusluv
With only 2 games left to play for these 2 leagues (maybe for the season), SP must come from behind and win, with help from EPC to make the playoffs. All MP has to do is win 1 of these 2 games and they are in. So MP puts all the marbles on anil (to be expected), and for SP they chose Aaron aka arusluv. After the runbreak, both players seem hesitent to run. After a few "value shots" anil decides to take the chance at the run. He takes solids and is off to the races. With a semi bang run he is attempting, he misses badly on a top center cut shot with top spin to give Aaron what looks to be a relatively open table. Aaron tries a long shot on orange in top right but ends up scratching which gives anil a VERY easy run to take MP to the playoffs. Anil proceeds to pot green in lower right and bang out blue stripe correctly. He then misses on long shot on blue!!! Leaves an opportunity for Aaron to tie things up at 2? With an even easier 3 ball run, aaron sinks one ball...while almost drawing back cue into top middle pocket. He then sinks pink stripe and OH again! almost sinks cue in bottom middle pocket..it rims in and out. With an easy shot on 8, Aaron successfully, althought crazily, wins game 4 for SP to keep their playoff hopes alive!

Game 5 (Decider):
MP_dont_miss_2009 vs SP_poundings
Well with a game 5 decider for SP's playoff hopes, these 2 players are chosen. If SP do win, they will need EPC to lose 1-4 or 0-5 to makek a playoff spot. Poundings takes the break for SP and another runbreak it is however failing to pot a ball. Dont_miss elects to pot stripes and then snooks. Sexy Pooler poundings then proceeds to use a solid to pot a stripe. Dont_miss then preceeds to shoot the wrong ball in, and give poundings an SP player bih. He will try the 7 ball run. He successfuly completes the run to give SP the final game win and the match win 3-2.
Match Final Score: 3-2 SP
As i begin to find out the scores of the other match, Nigel the captain of SS is qouted on yim,

G-I-T Week 13 - Top 10
With FR losing for its 3rd straight contest... its not a tall tail as to why. Craig #2(wk 12) and Petey #4(wk 12) both losing this week along with Soccergod our #1 from the past week not playing again, things are a little shaken up. SS knew they needed a win to keep their playoff hopes alive and it showed today. Lets see how it was affected in this weeks Top 10:
10. UO_Sabre Girl (7-4)
Last Week: Unranked
Sabre Girl jumps back in at 10 on our top 10 list this week. As a dearly noted clinch made visible by Joe aka RiffRaff (Thank you Joe) via the report forum was made, Sabre Girl lessened MP's chances considerably of making a playoff spot.

Last Week: 7th
Timm's inactivity drops him back down to the 9 spot where he was in week 11.

Shannon makes his top 10 debut at rank 8 winning vs FR and helping SS clinch a playoff birth. He as well as Nick will have to perform come playoff time.

G-I-T Week 13 Roundup
As the end of the day comes to a close, GIT Week 13 leaves us with a four-way tie for first place in the regular season. FR has a slight edge over Magic Pool and StraightShots with a 41-24 Game record. With only 1 week to play things are looking good for FR to take down the title against the bottomfeeder MIB team. On a 3 game skid will they finish with a win going into the playoffs? For SS, EPC, and MP they control their own fate. "Win and your in," will be the key to their destiny here in GIT season 1. This phrase pertains mostly to EPC and SS who play BP and UO respectively. As far as MP goes, they could really create a lot of havoc in the last remaining week as they play a 5th place SP. If SP wins this match, it will come down to a game record (I'm assuming) to decide the final playoff spot. Like i said a few posts back over break... this would be the game that would decide the playoff ranks, and it is. Heres what went down in GIT week 13.

G-I-T Week 12 - Top 10
Now as my opinion goes it shouldn't be manditory to say this but I will go ahead anywho. These Top 10 updates are not what will decide the league MVP in G-I-T. The admins will have a final vote so if all are watching this list crucially it is just my pure opinion as of what has happened this season. Like Joe said... there will be more that goes into the deciding of MVP than my list and win/loss records. With that said... here is G-I-T's week 12 top 10 in the eyes of Nick.

Timm has been up and down lately, winning vs SP to clinch 2 weeks ago, losing to Chris to blow the tiebreaker last week, and gaining a save here this week against SS. G-I-T Week 12 Roundup
Another eventful week for the likes of Global Interleague Trophy. Ultimate Outlaws as well as Brit Pool keep their playoff hopes alive with wins today bringing their records to 5-7 each. A little help in the next few weeks against SP/SS/EPC will help these teams gain entrance to the 9-man playoff series that awaits. Surprisingly UO takes down SP which dampens Sexy Poolers chances to put them at 6-6 with 2 weeks to play. For MP/FR 1 more win could conclude a playoff spot as both have 8 wins and with 9 will clinch a playoff spot. SS and EPC will decide their own fate in the remaining weeks as well as clearly being in the driver seat. All in all this week was a huge week for many teams. Lets see how each match played out:

G-I-T Week 11 Roundup
Andddddd back into action this fine week 11 of G-I-T. A few huge wins this week for teams that are on the bubble. Three out of four of my predictions went through while my EPC/MP prediction was significantly off and is a HUGE win for mp ending in a 2-2 tiebreak between MP's Chris and EPC's Timm. SP literally slides past FR this week winning 3-2 after being down 3-0. FR went up 3-0, and found out a tape had only saved half so 2-1 they went. Holiday Season! ~ What a great time of the year.
Christmas, Hannakuh, New Years.... festivities, presents, gifts, cookies, food. As the new year rolls around so does all of our good cheer. What resolutions have you made? Maybe to stop biting your fingernails, cracking your knuckles, or maybe start a workout routine!!! Well coming this 10th with G-I-T we will see who has been "working out" over the break.
A long 21 day wait has withdrawn G-I-T's 8 teams from competing. Except for a few. SS has been playing in wpc defeating an X8B team 5-2, and losing to SP. SP has been rolling in WPC defeating SS and is now in the finals. A few players have been competing in UCC Cam such as; Craig from FR (lost round 2 to sid), steve aka n00b.ski11z from MP (still alive in round 2 opponent tbd), king.2068 from SP (still alive in first round), and myself (losing round 2 to andy).
With that said, coming up in 2 days G-I-T will see who has been keeping uptodate with yahoo pools "yahoo's" and "aiming ball changes." Which leagues will be on there game in the crucial 4 remaining weeks of G-I-T's regular season?? I wish every team a very happy holidays, merry new year, and good luck in the remaining season of Global Interleague Trophy.
Taking a look at the upcoming weeks in GIT I will make my predictions:

Ultimate Outlaws (4-6) vs Brit Pool (3-7)
-Brit pool is on a 3 game skid, along with the 21 day break who knows if they will be ready to play this outlaws team. If trey shows up with the squad ready to go i believe they can take this win. If they want any shot at the playoffs this will be the starting point. If UO wins here brit pool is out of the playoff race indefinately as their best record on out would be 6-8.
I take Brit Pool here 3-2.
Freedom(8-2) vs Sexy Poolerz(5-5)
FR is only on a 2 game win streak defeating BP and UO. SP has been on a roll lately and has been playing during the break. I am going to see this one as an SP upset due to the fact that it is a must win for them. If they take it as seriously as i think they will, SP needs to win this one.
I take Sexy Poolerz here 3-2.
Extreme Pool Competitors(6-4) vs Magic Pool(6-4)
EPC and MP. EPC being a no show 2 (actual) weeks ago and then defeating SP 3-2 shows some drive to win. However 3 new players played (2 of which winning) in their defeat of SP. Magic Pool on the other hand had MIB in the last week of play before the holidays and who knows if they have been playing during the break. I see MP taking a "break" in their play here,
I take EPC here 4-1.
Money In The Bank(2-8) vs Straight Shots(6-4)
As MIB has been a very sporting league this season, I just don't think they will have enough to take down Nigel and his SS troups in this contest. A lot of SS members have been playing throughout the past few weeks and I am unsure of whether MIB has been doing the same.
I take SS here 4-1.

MIB could take this win, but I would have a feeling trey and the boys having won week 11, would want to keep their dim playoff hopes alive.
I take Brit Pool here 4-1
SS (7-4) vs EPC (7-4)
This will definately be the game of the week. Whoever wins this match will have a much easier chance at making the playoffs. With only 2 weeks remaining this match will be what separates the best from the rest. This will be a VERY close match but i feel you all must know i have to go with this decision:
I take SS here 3-2 (in game 5 final shannon vs tim.)
MP (6-5) vs FR (8-3)
I believe FR will bounce back from losing to SP in week 11 and secure a playoff spot by winning their 9th match of the season. With only 2 weeks left to go all that will remain up for grabs for FR is playoff home field advantage.

SP should win this one with a playoff birth in sight.

GIT Top 10 - Week 10.
With FR taking a 2 game lead on SS, MP, and EPC with 4 weeks to play, the top 10 sure does show why. The top 3 players in GIT prove to be from FR as you will see in this weeks top 10:

Last Week: Unranked
Adam makes his debue on our top 10 list by winning a match vs SS_xx_l3ryan_xx to bring the match back down from 0-1, to 1-1 and give his BP team hope. His stick is unknown, but good.

Remains at 9th on our list even with a win. Defeating a player in UO_budweiser_billiards only because he missed a very routine shot does not earn a higher spot on the top 10. Props to budweiser for only being back playing pool for 3 days and giving ash a run for his money.

GIT Top 10 - Week 9.
Sunday was a quick and easy run for some teams. With EPC and SP timing out and SS/FR winning their matches; credits were given, clinches were earned, and a new top 10 emerges.
Week 9 Top 10:
#10. MP_n00b.ski11z (4-1)
Last week: 8th
Steven drops to 10th due to lack of play. Will he play again for MP this season? If so he could give a run for the mvp award. If not, someone else will surely take his 10 spot in week 9.
#9. FR_exquisite.ashie (4-1)
Last week: 7th
His 1-1 record in the last four weeks, losing a decider to SS in week 6, and choosing not to pursue a git mvp award by not playing the past 2 weeks drops Ash to 9th place.
#8. EPC_l3lack_jesus (4-1)
Last week: 5th
Along with his teammates, Mr. Jesus decided to not show this week. Not playing the previous 3 of 4 weeks also doesn't help his cause which will drop him to 8th in the mvp race.

G-I-T Top 10 ~ IMO.
Now the top 10 Players can be difficult to put in perspective for the fact that 4th through 9th all have 4-1 records. Here is a list of the top 10 players and their contributions to their teams through the first 8 weeks of G-I-T.
#10. UO_Sabre Girl (5-2)
At a record of 5-2 UO_Sabre Girl has managed to win for her team. Although UO is in 7th and 3-5, without her I don't know if they would have a team. UO_Sabre Girl has 1 Clinch Win against MIB, 1 Win against BP, and 3 Dead Rubber Wins vs EPC, MP, and SS.
#9. MIB_DawnJ22 (4-1)
Dawn is the sole of MIB's team. Like Sabre, if MIB didn't have Dawn I don't know who they would go to. Not knowing much about MIB I give them credit for hanging in there this season. Having 2 Wins vs SP and BP, and 2 Dead Rubber Wins vs UO and SS, Dawn has helped keep the new MIB team together.
#8. MP_n00b.ski11z (4-1)
Noob.ski11z has 3 wins vs FR, EPC, and BP, and 1 Dead Rubber win vs SS.
#7. FR_exquisite.ashie (4-1)
Ash takes down the 7th spot with 2 wins vs SP and MIB, 1 Clinch vs MP, and 1 Dead Rubber win vs EPC in week 1.

Nick (myself) has 3 wins vs MIB, FR, and UO, and 1 Clinch Win vs SP. The clinch win and 3 Regular wins vs Ash's 2 wins and 1 Dead Rubber win is why I put myself ahead of Ash and behind the remaining 5 players.

Gaining the save in weeks 2 and 8 (against UO, FR) EPC_l3lack_jesus looks to be ahead in the battle of the 4-1's by a save over Nick_18__'s 1 clinch. He also has two wins, one against SP, and another against SS.

The top of the pack for the "4-1" players. Petey has clinched 2 matches while maintaining steller MVP/Main/Stats webpages for G-I-T**(Edit: Thanks to Joe and Chris). With his Clinch vs SP_ll_ketan_ll and SS_jay990, he is proving himself to be a player to watch come playoff season.
